Upon graduating, she worked with children of various ages and special needs and also as a caregiver. Sarah is knowledgeable in areas of child development, parenting techniques, and community resources. She aspires to support FALLS families in raising physically, psychologically, and emotionally healthy children. After three years as part of our community she was brought on as parent educator. Now, after her first year as parent educator, she will continue to fill this role as well as teaching our children and becoming the core of our community.
Originally from California, Sarah moved to Washington in 2000. She is married and has four children. Her interests include spending time with her family, creativity in the kitchen, reading, and exploring the outdoors.
Sharon Therres began her journey with FALLS cooperative preschool in January 2013 as a parent volunteer. Her dedication to a creative, safe, and loving environment for children that fosters play based learning is why she was chosen to teach the toddler class. Sharon has over 18 years of childcare experience and continues to train with STARS program for Washington state. Sharon helps parents and caregivers see how their role in their child’s early learning experience can create a strong foundation for a successful and independent child. She is committed to helping all families at FALLS feel welcome and part of the community.
